Yes. We could have held the ball for 2mins... But no! Kick the ball to the opposition who has been finding holes in our unstructured defense all night...

    Sigh.

.....and that was the key. The way they easily found their way through our middle is the main "work on" this week. TBH, I thought we were just hanging on as the Reds came back at us and really the better team won. Still, when you have found a way to keep in it, it's frustrating to hand it to the oppo with brain fart decisions at the end. I wouldn't like to be IF-L at this week's review.

Can someone please tell the ground announcer to announce any opposition tries in monotone. We have a local announcer to pump us up not the opposition!

I am a big IFL fan but Nic White would have iced that game if he was still on, some very poor decisions. Tate killed us around the ruck, Tizzano was good. Pasitoa looks like a beast and hopefully set for a big year

That kick from I LF was the game over, should have held on to it for 20 phases then kicked it out for 3 from 3.
But when all said and done a much better showing from the Force boys than we’ve been seeing in the last few (19) years.
Still a few more Ws to come this year.

While the option and execution was suspect I think the thought process was correct. With 3 and a half to go and the likes of Seru Uru on fire shutting up shop would have been very difficult. We had to continue playing go forward rugby …. Another nail biter in Super Rugby 25 . Go Force !!

It may also have been trying to give the boys a breather as they were all pretty knackered at that point? But still a brain fart. Well only Game 3, plenty of time for more wins.

Before the season, if you'd said we'd be 2-1 after 3 games, I think everyone would have thought that would be a great start.

But after the Moana game where we've shown that we can go ~25 phases of ball retention and chew up 5 minutes, it's a shame to see us kicking the ball away twice in the last ~3 minutes. (I couldn't believe that the Reds kicked it back to us!) With a Kiwi coach I'd hoped that we might gain some of that Kiwi nous that if you are ahead in the final 5 minutes then you keep the ball.

I'm still on team IFL, I think he's a great finisher. His speed around the ruck against a tiring opposition is exactly what we need to bring some spark towards the end of the game. In fact the whole back line looks sharp. Grealy is not that big but he really runs with purpose, I don't think I would swap either of our wingers for anyone else. Stewart and Pasitoa are going to make a great centre combo. Fantastic game from Pasitoa after all that time off, he can only improve. White and Donno are one of the best halves combo in AUS rugby. To think we still have Proctor, Tomkinson, Kuenzle & Beale to come back means we should have good depth as the season progresses. Some really good signings in the forwards BPA, Swain, Dolly, de Crespigny, Ekusai etc. Pearce has really come on in leaps and bounds, and what more can you say about Tizzano? We have a forward pack that really packs a punch and hopefully can give us some sort of parity with the NZ teams. All in all things are looking good, lets hope injuries stay at a minimum.

I'd keep the team the mostly same against the Tahs except hopefully Williams in. Maybe Harris to start at 6 or 8. Princep or Nick CdC could do with coming off the bench to freshen up.

Tahs likely to dust us in the scrums, but I reckon we have them just about everywhere else.

That was a disappointing outcome. We could have, should have won that one.

But one thing is certain: Simon Cron and the Force management have put together a squad that we can be proud of and that will be successful this season.

    Another combatitive and competitive performance.

I am really enjoying watching Force 2025 playing.

It would have been great to have gone 3/3 but realistically the Reds were just a little more cohesive and explosive than we were. We had our chances and did just not convert enough pressure into points but we are a great work in progress.

As the stats show, we attacked more than last week but our success rate was down.

We defended a lot less than last last week and success rate while marginally down still very good.

Same amount of kicks in play this week as last week and Donno still maintaining 100% despite us not always scoring under the posts for him.

Individual stats reflect an all round team effort with no real standouts, which is what you want to see.

A great all round effort and a pleasure to watch.

Honourable mentions though have to go to Will Harris and BPA great cameo performances off the bench, Pearce putting in the hard yards and again Tom Robertson playing many minutes and putting in many tackles.
