Western Force offered little respite as brutal Super Rugby draw sees their final month spent mostly in the air

Western Force will have to contend with a torrid travel schedule to finish the Super Rugby season, handed a nightmare run home.

The West Australian can reveal the Force will play twice in New Zealand, then return home to Perth, head to Fiji and back in a monster travel burden in the final games of the season.

If it IS really a month that looks like maybe 8-9 days in NZ (depending on planning); then return to Perth for a bye. Actually sounds OK if that's what it is. Particularly if Todd is on the money.

The video is something different.

The fixtures are definitely "family friendly" but certainly not club rugby friendly unless they are going to move forward the kick off times for all of the games which then flows on to the other grades, juniors etc.

There are some positives though, we seem to play most of the easier teams at home (based on this year), the harder teams away and get the Drua and all the Aussie teams twice. But as mentioned, we need to start well before we get 4 kiwi teams in a row from round 8-12.

Whoever thought it was a great idea to schedule kicks offs at 4:35pm in February and 2:05pm in March needs to get in the bin.

Thinking outside the square, maybe it is something we can use as an advantage against visiting teams.

Note:

WST 4:35 pm is 7:35 pm EST and it appears that if you take into account the April Daylight saving switch that is the last kick off time for anyones matches not just us, so probably broadcast driven

Hardly a surprise it's broadcast driven, Stan and Sky Sport in NZ probably have the final word on kick off times.

Also looking at the teams listed for those two fixtures, could be a possible advantage against Pacifika. Doubt it against Qld who would be training in some pretty toasty conditions!

Edit: Didn't even see the 3rd day March fixture - I thought there was only two. Maybe Perth's dry heat will work for us as opposed to humid heat
