Wood among four Force stars in latest Wallaroos camp

Rebecca Clough medallist Samantha Wood is back in the Wallaroos fold after recovering from a back injury to be named in their latest pre-European Tour and WXV camp.

Scrum-half Wood, 20, missed the July Tests with injury after starting during the Pacific Four series, having made her international debut against Canada.

Force trio Michaela Leonard, Trilleen Pomare and Alapeta Ngauamo are also part of the 37-player squad.

The Wallaroos will gather in a series of camps before they depart for Europe for a pair of warm-up games.

They will face Ireland on September 14 in Belfast before taking on Wales a week later. It'll act as perfect preparation before WXV 2, opening their campaign against the Welsh on September 28.

The Wallaroos have also been drawn to face South Africa and Scotland after missing WXV 1 following their winless Pacific Four campaign.
