The Fijian Drua have confirmed the announcement of Tim Sampson as their attack coach for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season.
Sampson heads to Fiji after serving as an assistant coach for the Melbourne Rebels under Kevin Foote
"I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to coach at a club such as the Drua who I have admired since their involvement commenced in the National Rugby Championship in 2017," he said in a statement
"Working under Mark, Baden, Glen and fellow support staff was what attracted me to the role along with coaching a group of extremely talented athletes."
Sampson joins new coach Glen Jackson after the departure of Mick Byrne to the Fiji national side.
He served as Western Force head coach from 2018-2022 as he guided the club's return back to Super Rugby.
"We are delighted to welcome Tim aboard the Drua as our new Attack Coach after a thorough recruitment process," Drua CEO Mark Evans said.
"He brings a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective that we believe will enhance our attack.
"His experience as an Assistant Head Coach in his previous role will offer tremendous support to our incoming Head Coach Glen Jackson and the Drua high performance staff.”
It comes as the Drua continue to build for next season, signing former Red Peni Ravai and Fijian international Inia Tabuavou.
Ravai played 27 games for the Reds in his two seasons with the club after returning from French Rugby.
Meanwhile, Tabuavou signs on a two-year deal after starring for Racing 92.
