He became extremely aggressive and abusive. So that's when one of our number gave him a bit of a slap. That seemed to do the trick.

love it.
how you guys remember this stuff amazes me!
Brains full of miscellaneous crap, mate, brains full of crap. PIN numbers on the other hand, or names of people I've literally just been introduced to...
I find writing things down helps me. I was on the RWC tour with Hodgo last year and meeting ~40 or so people for the first time; remembering names was a nightmare. So, on the bus I tried to write down everyone's name in a Note; and I had a couple of people ask if I could send it to them as they were struggling, too!

One of the most amazing memory feats I've seen was a school principle on an orientation camp train trip to the Blue Mtns. Kids from 4 different schools at a new Yr 11-12 college. Two carriages full IIRC. During the 2-odd hour trip he spoke to every one. Before we got to Katoomba he went back through and called everyone by name. I'm not 100% sure (54 years ago) he got them all but if he missed any it was only a couple.

Our Head used to walk through a school of @900 students, call every boy by their surname, engage with several every time asking after their parents with knowledge of circumstance and acknowledge any boy having a birthday.
Well before computers were the feature on an office desk.
In hindsight, I assume he had a very thorough diary he consulted for the birthdays before leaving the office to walk around, but it was pretty impressive.
