I would expect that any Rebel who is actually on the schedule to sign with the Force has a holdup in their contracts being processed until the Tahs list is finalised in case one of the anointed ones signs overseas before Rugby Australia can add enough zeroes to their offer.
While any match ready tighthead would be a good thing getting Strachan and Jooste would be a better outcome than I'm expecting.

I suspect you're pretty much on the money there Gigs. It seems we'll be lucky to be sent any scraps that are leftover after the east coast clubs have taken their pickings (especially of those on wallaby top-ups to help them minimise costs counted towards their salary caps) and largely finalised their rosters.
I fear we're looking at yet another season of being towards the bottom of the ladder...
While you're probably correct I'm confident that doesn't really matter much this season.
I know my shoulder-chip has been activated early and I will vociferously attend every game looking for an upset win.
There's a certain delight in being the underdog, having nothing expected of you and defying the odds by not finishing last. Especially when you've been deliberately put in that position by the administrators of the game.
If we win nothing other than a home game against the Tahs it will still be a good season.

Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
Glen Vaihu playing rugby league for the Souths Logan Magpies made his debut for them 27/07/2024
We scrum for posession, run for the try zone, bleed for the team and live for the game
His comments after the match were a bit vague as to a time frame:
"Reflecting on his journey, Vaihu said,"I always wanted to go to league and play since I was young. I just felt the time was right, I had experienced playing union professionally for the Melbourne rebels and was on the verge of potentially going overseas. But I knew I would have regretted it if I went and stayed overseas without giving rugby league a crack."

I hear that Darby Lancaster is going to the Tahs for 2025.

I wanna tell you it’s gonna be okay. I wanna tell you that the windshield is bigger than the rearview mirror for a reason, because what’s in front of you is so much more important than what’s behind you."
