Super Rugby Pacific 2024 Teams: All the team news for the semi-finals

Super Rugby Pacific is down to the semi-finals as just four teams remain in the battle for the title.

The ACT Brumbies are the lone Australian side left in the competition, set to take on the Blues in Auckland on Friday.

This will be followed on Saturday by the Hurricanes taking on the Chiefs in Wellington.

The winners will face off next Saturday to decide the winners for 2024, with a new champion set to be crowned after the Crusaders missed the finals.

Friday 14 June 5:05 PM AEST – Blues v ACT Brumbies at Eden Park, Auckland

Blues captain Patrick Tuipulotu has been ruled out for the rest of the season after a knee injury.

Lock Sam Darry returns to the starting side in his place after sitting out last week under concussion protocols.

Dalton Papali’i takes over the captaincy at flanker with the rest of the side unchanged.

Meanwhile, the Brumbies are boosted by the return of James Slipper.

The experienced Wallaby has overcome a calf complaint to be fit, joined by Billy Pollard and Allan Alaalatoa in the front-row.

Rory Scott comes into the starting side at flanker, with Jahrome Brown on a 6-2 bench split.

Rhys Van Nek retains his spot in the reserves, with Harrison Goddard and Ollie Sapsford to cover the backline.

The Hurricanes have received a blow with prop Xavier Numia ruled out after picking up an injury against the Melbourne Rebels.

Numia limped off during the quarter-final win, with Pouri Rakete-Stones elevated into the starting side.

The return of Tyrel Lomax offsets the loss of Numia, starting in his first game since Round 11.

Captain Brad Shields also returns to the starting line in the back row.

James Tucker, Devan Flanders and Du’Plessis Kirifi headline a 6-2 bench split, with Richard Judd and Bailyn Sullivan the two backs reserves.

As for the Chiefs, they go into Saturday's semi-final with the same unchanged 23 that defeated the Queensland Reds last weekend.
