The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies crowd farewelled our departing Brumbies after the club's 32-16 win over the Dunedin-based Highlanders in the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific Quarter Final fixture held at GIO Stadium on Saturday evening.

The Brumbies Family acknowledges their contributions on and off the field during their time in the Capital.

ACT Brumbies players Ed Kennedy, Tamati Tua, Fred Kaihea, Jahrome Brown, Connal McInerney and Darcy Swain were all officially farewelled post-match, as the club celebrated its victory at home.

The Brumbies wish all five representatives all the best for the future.

    Darcy Swain - Brumby #208

Darcy Swain joined the Brumbies in 2018 and has never looked out of place since, bringing up his 75th appearance for the club in last night's semi-final. Swain first represented the Wallabies in 2021 and has played 17 matches in the green and gold since.

In the 2024 Super Rugby Pacific season, Swain also earned the honour of becoming a Brumbies captain during his final season with the club.

    Connal McInerney - Brumby #204

Canberra local Connal McInerney joined the Brumbies in 2018 after coming through the Erindale College system and joining the clubs pathway programs.

Since his 2018 debut, McInerney has managed to churn out 57 caps at the Brumbies, even managing an impressive 10 tries during his time at hooker for the side. Representing Australia in 2021, McInerney also became Wallaby number 947 after featuring in two tests for his country.

    Jahrome Brown - Brumby #217

Putting together 49 matches for the club since making his Brumbies debut in 2019 against the Reds, Jahrome Brown has been a consistent performer in the forwards since. Scoring just six seconds after taking the field in his debut, Brown would go on to score a total of eight tries in Brumbies colours.

    Tamati Tua - Brumby #248

Joining the Brumbies top squad in 2023, after starring performances for Northland in the National Provincial Competition Tamati Tua has been a mainstay in the midfield since joining the club. Playing 31 games for the club in two seasons and scoring five tries, his impact has been undeniable.

    Fred Kaihea - Brumby #234

Fred Kaihea dove straight into the Brumbies program straight out of school, representing the club from under 16’s all the way to the top grade where he made his Super Rugby debut against the Western Force in 2021. Since his debut, Fred has gone on to play nine matches in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.

    Ed Kennedy - Brumby #239

Joining the club in late 2021, Goulburn product Ed Kennedy made his Brumbies debut in February 2022 against the Western Force. A backrower by trade, Ed has amassed seven appearances for the club during his time in the Capital.

Some interesting departures and possibly an opening up of their Roster for Rebels acquisition-

Lock (Swain deal predated Rebels call)
    Lock
    Backrow
