    Transfer Period

Huge number of player movements around the globe at this time for those who like to stay abreast of such things, particularly in Europe.
Too many to list individually, but can keep tabs of it here- https://all.rugby/transfers/logs/

I see Michael McDonald is heading back to Ulster, at least he managed to get in some game time at Connacht, including two starts, and a number of matches off the bench.

Hopefully he can get some game time for Ulster now that he is back there, as he only had two bench appearances for them in the whole previous season.

Bordeaux just jettisoned 15 younger players.
I haven't looked at them all, but at least a few are Academy.
Not sure if the French system has a mandatory "sign or cut" type system to their Academies.

Ben Tapuai did get a one year extension there though.

Nick Champion de Crespigny, 27, returning to Australia, no destination as yet.
Has had 53 Caps, mostly starting in #6 or #7, over three seasons with Top 14 club Castres Olympique.
A Canberra boy, but 69 Caps for Sydney Uni and 11 for NSW Country, it sounds to me a bit of a Tah flavour to the move.
A 191cm, 110kg Backrow, but would think he may transition into also covering the Locks as he reaches the end of his career.

"Despite an offer of an extension from the club, Nick has chosen to continue his career in Australia, with the aim of being selected one day by the Wallabies.»

He's already Capped now, but another one lost to Australia-

Emmanuel MEAFOU, Lock, extends his contract with Toulouse (FRA) by 2 years until 2027 (he has been already committed until 2025) , source La Dépêche

    Big news!
Wonder what it means for his Test eligibility, if NZ are moving to a Super Rugby eligible exemption?

Isn't Pasifika kind of under NZRU...? Drua under RA? Hopefully it paves a way forward for Super Rugby players being edible to their respective nations playing under their nations competition

I am not sure Leo, but there is an article quoting Kirwan expressing concern about affecting Savea's standard, rather than his selection, so I guess is assumed to be remaining eligible.

Savea has an All Blacks contract through to the next World Cup so remains eligible…. The concern for the Kiwis is his workload at Moana May be elevated to his detriment.
