Force v Cheetahs Spring Series matches locked in

    Spring Series matches locked in

Thu, Aug 3, 2023, 1:47 PM, by Western Force Media

The four highly anticipated Spring Series matches against the Toyota Cheetahs are locked in, kicking off in just 3 weeks.

The Western Force is set to face the Toyota Cheetahs in their hometown of Bloemfontein on Friday August 25 and Saturday September 2.

Watch every match live on Stan Sport.

The first home match is scheduled down at Lane Group Stadium, Mandurah on Friday September 29.

Western Force CEO Tony Lewis comments, "The initiative to broaden the game of rugby to all regions of Western Australia is necessary for the game's growth.

This opportunity to bring a quality South African side who just won the Currie Cup to Mandurah is exciting and paves a strong path for future Spring tournaments."

The final game against the Toyota Cheetahs is based locally at Claremont Football Club Saturday on October 7. With food vendors, bar facilities, and kids' activities in full swing, there is every reason to head down and support the Western Force in their final hit out of the series.

Tickets to the final two matches can be purchased with your 2024 Force Membership for an added $20. Tickets will also become available in a few weeks through Ticketmaster for non members, valued at $15 per game, with $20 tickets available at the gate on game day.

    Schedule

Game 1, Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein, Friday 25 August
Game 2, Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein, Saturday 2 September
Game 3, Lane Group Stadium, Mandurah, Friday 29 September
Game 4, Claremont Football Club, Saturday 7 October

I wonder how you can get hold of a 2024 membership before the tickets go on sale?

Depending on what time the game is on Saturday 7 October I think there is scope for a train bar hop to the game, a mini Internal Domestic InnFORCEers Tour

That'd be right. Another InnFORCEers Rort! I'm claiming one for the Claremont Oval "tour".

A rort, is only a rort, if you're not involved

    Fixed.

I'll have to go warn the bowlo to watch out for a bunch of rowdy blow-ins from Leerville looking for a pit stop on the walk from the station

Had a bit of a chuckle, article is talking up the "significant prize money"...

"The 2023 Toyota Challenge will again boast a total prize money of R1 million, with R250 000 awarded for each match. This significant prize money not only adds to the intensity of the competition but also recognises the outstanding efforts of the teams."

    FYI-
    R1 million = A$81,600
    R250 000 = A$20,400

I suppose its all relative, you need to bear in mind that you can buy a new 2 bedroom apartment in a decent area for the prize money in SA:

Recon they'll squeeze +23 beds in there?
Or make the equivalent exchange when the Force win?

Look I like Nathan Charles but I don't think he was quite the same caliber as Sharpe, bad mistake from the West.

Lopeti Faifua is a good signing - comes from good Ox territory

Surprised Amone isn't traveling. A bit of a worry considering I don't think he's been confirmed for next year either
