    Mack Hanson becoming a cult hero in Ireland ( out of nowhere….particularly here in Australia) has pricked the interest of young talented players. I think they are looking closely at these opportunities compared with very little here …. Well done to the talent scouts ??

    It would be interesting to know if anybody in the Irish setup has been in contact with either Ralston or Mc Donald .

    Ralston has already announced that he's going to Connacht next year.
    I hope we can keep Michael - he's got so much potential and loved his impact when he got scarce game time.
    Would expect him to get a lot more recognition under Cron.

    Would have liked to have held on to Ralston. He was really good at 13

    I think we need somebody who can bust the line at 13.

    I always considered Mataele to have hands like feet for some reason, but when you look at the stats he pulled in for us, it'd be great to see him get a bit closer to the action and go for some jet shoes outside him. so maybe Mataele or an established blockbuster that we buy in.

    Kuenzle is a good size. I wonder if he could turn ino a 13 down the track.

    Possibly, but I like him at 12 and were not really deep there so I'm comfortable with him staying there. He would also make a good 15 imho, but Strachan is making quite a decent fist of that so again, not really a necessary move. One of the big issues, especially after the departures is depth. We've lost a fair few bodies all around the park and the replacements need to be competitive or preferably better than the 8ncumbents.

    I would have said all the back 3 options need to spend serious time on their kicking out of hand over the next 7 months, both penalties and on the run. But especially whoever is looking at the 15 spot.

    And once it has become second nature even under pressure, maybe have a look at ways to recognise and maximise the chances of success with the 50-22 kicks. It doesn't feel like anyone has genuinely explored the possibilities of that as an attacking option.

    Have things changed? The last time I lived in WA was May of 1990.

    So, back in the old days of the 1990's The State of Western Australia was full of current and retired Australian Rules players, Coaches and Trainers.

    Have they all left the state? Got gainful employment elsewhere?

    The point I am trying to make is this;

    Would our players benefit from an Australian Rules player/coach with some one-on-one Coaching for Kicking Out of Hand?

    At the very least it makes for some good publicity.

    A coach from Soccer maybe? Graham Arnold has a great track record with rugby ball coaching. Maybe there's others.

    I thought they may already have an AFL kicking coach because most of the kicking we see is bloody aimless!
