I used to cycle. Until my weight got more than the carrying capacity of my bikes.

Haven't had that little pleasure yet. But I have been "hooded" a short while ago. Riding slowly on a footpath to avoid a busy intersection. Car appears from behind a 6ft brick wall without slowing or looking - from a Dr's surgery car park.

Forward roll across the bonnet & a couple more on the pavement. Not a scratch. Phew!

I'm don't think they'll go down the EV route, but hydrogen will replace the petrol powered internal combustion engine. It's only a matter of time.

Side note: I saw a Tesla absolute torch a Lamborghini off of the line in East Perth a couple of weeks ago. It was magnificent.

The problem with Electric Vehicles is if they have an accident. Firefighters are unable to stop the fire.

When Richard Hammond had his crash of the EV SuperCar Rimac it took 4 days for the fire to go out.

Same with Houses that have solar panels. There is no kill switch.

I cant imagine a race car crash involving multiple EVs and multiple fires. Scary and seems like a death sentence for the drivers involved.

There is Formula E, which is for EVs only and arguably the 3rd or 4th level of single seat racing (depending on how you look at Formula 2 and Indycars)

So you were OK but what about the important information - how was the bike?

My house has PV and a kill switch. However the kill switch is next to the inverter so you still get DC flowing from the panels.

All your other points are well made.

Ha ha, spot on . Couple of little scratches. The driver seemed more interested in checking her car.
