Sheikh - I appreciate the question. Problem is, I haven't lived in Geraldton since May 1990. My last visit was at least 6+ years ago when my Grandfather passed away and I flew back for the funeral.

The best I can do is contact my cousins and get their recommendations....

    .... they said:

Accom: Mantra or the Gerald, Lattitude 28 (Book now!!!) Don't leave it too late - accommodation is being booked out very early. He Seriously recommends booking accommodation now. Be very careful where you park your car!!

    Food: Salt Dish

Drinks: Gerald, Lattitude 28, Cuttler & Smith

    I hope this helps

    Cheers, X,

I'm at the Sails (the Gerald was a bit pricey), and it's a ~15-20 min walk to the ground and what seems to be the main strip (where the Gerald, Salt Dish and Cuttler & Smith are). Google reckons L'Attitude 28 has shut down.

Why careful about parking - bogans or parking wardens?

So given the border doesn't open until 1 day after the game what does this mean? If coming from QLD under current rules they will have to isolate for 14 days. I doubt they would go through that just for a practice game?

I know the promotion of the game is still going full steam ahead but what are the chances of it happening?

Do they have a game prior to that one or could they just shift their base of operations over here for 2 weeks?I think sporting teams can get an exemption to continue training as long as it doesn't involve anybody outside the bubble

That's usually with the sports team staying at Joondalup resort (or similar) where they can train in a bubble. I'm not sure if they fancy travelling from Joondalup to Geraldton and back in one day.

That inside news Alison? Because I can't find anything on the Force or Rugby WA websites about the match being cancelled. (yet!)

the local event organiser Tom Gorman announced its cancellation on the Sea of Blue Facebook page.

Tom is still planning on running all the Junior "camps" on Saturday along with the support of Classic Wallabies

BuggerI mean not so bad news for me, as I couldn't go but not good news for Geraldton rugby and Tom Gorman, who have apparently put a mountain of work into this.

Not to mention the money that Geraldton ratepayers put in too.
