I like the effort that Ryan McCauley has put in since coming to the WF.
He's obviously showing the benefit of playing alongside Locks such as Thrush and Sita.
My tip is that he'll respond well and grasp the opportunity offered by the Chiefs and be a late bloomer and become an excellent player for the WF.

I agree. Going to the Chiefs and having the opportunity to play much more rugby in the Premiership will be the making of him.

The Ferguson debate is interesting. Don't rate as a prospect reminds me of an older Tahu who stayed with NSW a short time and straight back to League. Thought money for Ferguson could be better spent elsewhere

If we got him for the right money I'd like to see him at the Force for a couple of years.

Pretty glad Tony Lewis missed out on signing Ferguson if this report is true

If true it’s pretty much career ending! Japan are very hard on drugs. Definitely not a sensible life choice. Thank goodness he didn’t come to the force 😳

Perhaps a dodged bullet but probably more of a confirmation why nothing progressed beyond the initial considerations.

It was these deliberations which recruited young players with heaps of potential such as Daniel Ala.

Just a thought on overseas testing and players pissing hot.
What are the test regimes in Australia at a professional level?
    Both for PEDs and recreational.

And then at club level here in Oz?

School boy testing for “roids“is big in SA.
In previous years it was an anecdotal issue in Welsh rugby.

I wonder what a whip around local leagues would bring to the surface?

I know a mate who had an amateur racing license with Cycling Australia and he said that it technically meant that he could be called up for random drug testing at any time (unlike the pros where you have to let the CA/ADA know where you are every day, at amateur level you got a call and had to provide a sample in x hours). But he reckoned that testing was so rare out of competition that it was highly unlikely that they'd ever call you up. Testing at competitions was more likely, but even then you only had a ~10% chance of being asked to give a sample unless you finished in the top 3. (He suspected that most samples taken were never analysed, too!)
