RA CEO Andy Marinos has condemned an incident involving two national coaches.

RA CEO Andy Marinos has condemned an incident involving two national coaches at the Super W tournament in Coffs Harbour.
The organisation released a statement on Saturday after a pair of coaches were found to be using 'unacceptable' language towards match officials, refereeing decisions and general play.
"Rugby Australia (RA) has been made aware of an incident involving two national coaches at the Super W tournament in Coffs Harbour," they said in a statement.
"It is alleged that the coaches used unacceptable language when describing match officials, refereeing decisions and general play in an audio recording of the game which was then uploaded to the team’s analysis portal.
"Rugby Australia acknowledges that some individuals have taken offence to the language used and Rugby Australia would like to apologise to those individuals for that.
"Rugby Australia takes all matters relating to the off-field behaviour of our staff and contractors very seriously and all employees and contractors are required to act in accordance with the terms of their contracts, including adherence to the Code of Conduct and the core values of the game.
"Support is available to all Super W players via Benestar throughout the year, as provided by Rugby Australia."

Marinos confirmed the two coaches were stood down by Rugby Australia, eventually resigning from their position.
“After we heard about the incident, we made swift and decisive action in standing down both individuals immediately, who have since resigned," Marinos said.
“As an organisation, we do not stand for such behaviour. We have a zero-tolerance approach, and it has no place in our game at any level.
“We will now begin our recruitment for these roles, in what is a very important year for our Wallaroos."

Dwayne Nestor and Matt Tink were the apparent culprits

National tournaments are usually fantastic development opportunities for match officials and there is typically a number of referee coaches in attendance for this very purpose. Feedback and coaching is provided in a much more intensive fashion than is usually the case in weekend community rugby and the referee has the opportunity to put the coaching learnings into play almost immediately. I attended URC 2019 as ref coach and can attest to this.

Players (and player coaches) who make mistakes are far less in the spotlight than match officials, but all mistakes are opportunities for learning and development. High level player coaches should know better, especially in a tournament-style competition. They should also know the protocol and avenue to have concerns addressed.

Bit of a concern if it's true that it's Dwayne and Tinky, both of whom know better.

Maybe the Women's Rugby should be run as an all women competition -women's union, women administration, women coaches and officials, women referees, women's clubs, etc.

Save a lot of angst, apparently.
