But simply, obstruction being ignored is not a thing RL has done to "improve the product" anyway.

The Reds are 30 points up against the Chiefs at half time! An Aussie team may yet win a game

We know how good they are at coming from behind. They are certainly playing with great intensity. Will they keep it up? 30 to go; so far so good.

    No way.

McKenzie left the ground to deliver a shoulder to the chin of the Reds 9 with no mitigating circumstances.

Pretty sure that kind of contact has been judged to be a red all year.

He deliberately threw a shoulder at his head and threw his own out of the way. Absolutely no attempt to wrap an arm. That's been a red card forever, even if not often given. . Loved the humble post match from their skipper.

Also a shout Grant Weber's academy award performance after the red was shown.

I thought the red was for that grin he gets on his face when he's lining up a shot at goal..

He was just genuinely surprised it was a red. A kiwi ref would have given at most a yellow or a penalty based on what has happened earlier in the tournament and in SR Aeoteroa.

I've gotta say Steve ive noticed the same thing, ala Barrett the other night, red or at least yellow with the Aussie refs, kiwi refs not so sure.

More like he was in a state of shock. Surprised is how the they look if they are penalised. Amazed if its a ruck infringement.

So much easier to give a red card when it only impacts a team for 20 minutes.

Agree much easier to give when impact is twenty. Did t like the tackle he jumped into it with shoulder leading. Only one way that is going to end.
