Henry Taefu didnt put a foot wrong when he did play this season. I think he should be in the team for next year

Only because he hasn't been allowed to, or been stymied by some of the attack inside of him.

The West article today which reports Marcel & Chris leaving mentions Rodda and the Brumbies 4 being signed for next year, but doesn't mention Mataele. I presume that means he's not confirmed yet.

Correct. Taefu deserved better. Funny at the awards night they said he was resigned. Truth is he chose to leave. I’ve heard since telling the WF he never played another game.
Good on him. He will go somewhere he is respected and get game time. He was our ex factor 12 , he wasn’t given the respect he deserved form management to bloom in that position

On the bright side, They've also moved Kuridrani on, who I think was the actual obstacle to Taefs getting more game time. Hopefully they'll realise that Kyle is a 13 and find a 12 to put inside him that will be able to generate some space for him to work. Having 2 13s on the field (three if you count Kahui) is a recipe for nobody getting space because everybody's crashing ball.

although green Keunzle of Pasitoa could fill that gap, but I'm not confident we've got a 10 who could steer the ship well enough for either of those boys to play 12.

I'm also not confident we've got a 12 who could make it great for those boys to play 10 (maybe Kahui, but not sure how the old body will stand up to that sort of punishment)

They didn’t move him on! They wanted to re-sign him but he chose to leave. Taefu also chose to leave - and who could blame him. Had they not lost Henry, we could have had Kyle at 13 and Taefu at 12 next season. I’m pretty miffed that they are in this position.

Surprised Taefu was not encouraged to stay on, especially with Kuridrani moving on. I wasn't able to see all the games this year, but what I saw of him was good. As it has been for a while at the Force. The only thing I can think of, and I might be totally wrong, is that they are looking at good defensive Centres who are "creative" and not so much "crash-ball runners". And using this type of Centre to utilises the Wingers as the main attacking threats.

Maybe they're looking to get more Aussie eligible players into the team.

Taefs is now locked into Samoa,so would be out. Similar with Marcel, and there was also mention of thrushie and kahui transitioning to coaching roles.
