For the sake of Australian Rugby and the Wallabies the Waratahs need to be successful!

Trooble at mill!!............How fuggin predictable. Just hope they haven't appointed Angus to straighten things out on Friday.

NSW Rugby considers coach options as Whitaker pleads for patience

Waratahs assistant coach Chris Whitaker says rookie Tahs players need “more time in the saddle” to improve but the NSW Rugby board is preparing to take action off the field to help arrest the team’s calamitous decline................
...............The Waratahs’ dire predicament has senior Rugby Australia officials deeply concerned and monitoring the situation closely. Sources told the Herald the game’s top brass is dismayed that the game’s flagship team in the country’s biggest market is floundering at a time when the game is attempting to re-launch with a new free-to-air broadcast partner. With more eyes on Super Rugby than at any point in the last decade, RA is increasingly concerned about the audience in NSW turning away.

Ha-makes me laugh! You mean they’ve only just realised it was all going to come around and bite them on the arse? Maybe they should’ve invested a bit in the NRC. What a sad bunch of tossers!

OK reading that article in its entirety, only one thing strikes me

The Waratahs losing will end Aussie rugby, but the Force losing is OK, because it's not like the Force are short of a win and the only way Aussie rugby can pull itself out of the financial shit is if Twiggy is comfortable that any money he puts into their bank won't just get shoveled straight to the Tahs.

I know they're playing to an audience, but surely even NSW residents can smell the horseshit in that load

I can see the concern, given RA/Ch9 are trying to attract new viewers via FTA. We might get a bit of a shoe-on-other-foot satisfaction if the boys hand them another flogging on Friday. But given that the vast majority of NSW residents don't give a shit, it's not great for the game for the Tahs to give them reasons to care even less. They have some promising players, maybe potential Wallabies. So hopefully they can improve - but not too much just yet.

Anyway here's Jeremy Thrush's take on Friday. Brought to you from click bait central...

Force aim to sow seeds of doubt in struggling Waratahs

Western Force lock Jeremy Thrush expects NSW to come out swinging this Friday night, but he hopes seeds of doubt will spread among the Waratahs players during the match.

The Waratahs appear set for a season of doom and gloom after copping a record 61-10 hammering at the hands of the Brumbies last Saturday, just a week after losing 41-7 to the Queensland Reds.

P.S. Couple of funny comments there too.

    Memo from Rugby Australia.
    To: All non-Waratahs teams

Subject: For the sake of Oz Rugby!

As of round 4 all teams when playing the Waratahs must not tackle them should they get into the opposition 22. This is requested for the sake of Australian Rugby as other teams are too far away for us to select Wallabies and only people in Sydney watch the game.

Maybe they should get them all to wear gold shorts.
