Whether anything changes re: NRL will depend upon how much pay 9 can get out of Covid causing NRL to breach the contract. Personally I don't think any court in the land would uphold a claim for damages from 9 due to NRL not being permitted to play the requisite number of games as contracted.

If they don't have the threat of suing for breach of contract, then NRL will just tell them to get stuffed wouldn't they?

Just ditched Kayo and started Stan (Mrs wanted it now)

In feedback I wrote (with pure hope in my heart)

"Since Rugby Australia has announced a deal with 9, I have no use for Kayo unless Global Rapid Rugby returns here"

    Glass half full

Canned but jeez they tried hard. The Fox dudes in India were unaware and assured me Fox has the rights. I'll still get Kayo for now and watch cricket, UK Premiership and the finals of UK SuperMungo. Dead Set!

Kayo wouldnt even let you select Western Force to follow as a team. Not much love there.

I'll be throwing in Kayo and getting Stan

Pretty sure the NRL signed an abridged deal with the broadcasters to replace the TV deal that was in place when Covid hit earlier in the year, one that runs through to 2027.

Given the amount that Fox pays the NRL to simulcast every game I'd assume they wouldn't want Stan streaming all game when Kayo is Fox's streaming option (for sport at least).

Just basic. Entertainment plus Sports. I threatened to quit 30 months ago when they were giving newbies the same for 40 and I was paying 72. Gave me that and it's gradually crept to 44. But the Content nowadays is pathetic to what it was. Rugby = straw/camels back.

I've just been forced to swap from ADSL to NBN. ADSL was really quick when no-one else was using it!

Our house has been on NBN since we bought it so can't really compare, but anecdotally from friends it's a downgrade from ADSL to the NBN.

But hail the Liberal idiots in charge who sabotaged it in the first place for finally saying the original NBN is what we need.

It's also coincidental that Rupert Murdoch now has a couple of streaming services to sell.
