I reckon we should be able to pick any Aussie eligible player who's available and willing to play - even from outside of professional ranks.

With the state of the administration and game in Australia we have little chance of retaining players in-country.

But then again - what would I know?

    Good draw Wallabies.

Hard to understand how Gardner missed the foot on the side line as he couldn't be in a better position.

Because Gardner actually isn't a very good referee?

I thought it was OK considering the conditions.

I really enjoyed it! I’m finally over my bitterness of 2017 and just having some international rugby to watch on a Sunday morning was great!

I'm not quite that far. I never blamed tha Wallaby players for what happened but I lost interest in their matches. New squad, new attitude and I'm back on board, even if not such a fanatic. I did think Hooper showed he's not really skipper material by almost letting an away draw slip by in a Bledisloe opener.

TBH, I forgot it was on but couldn't be bothered once I noticed they were playing. Nothing to do with the players or 2017, but I have lost interest as it became clear that while it has never really been a national sport, that is not an accident of fate and there is not and has never been any intention of making it a national sport. It is a sport for the few in a couple of locations, and everyone else is only really there to pay for them.

I did have it on, didn't really watch it but didn't avoid it.

I thought the Wallabies played better than anyone could have expected, yes the All Blacks looked far more composed and threatening, with the Wallabies tries I saw being a bit lucky (I missed a fair bit of the game tbh) but to finish with a draw and hold the All Blacks out in that last passage of play was a definite improvement.

I wouldn't count myself a fan yet, but I'm not upset at the result.

I really enjoyed this game, almost as much as the one played at Optus last year.

I must admit I wasn’t expecting a decent game by any stretch of the imagination but I was more than happy with what I saw. A team that showed ticker in abundance and looked as though they had a plan and new what it was for a change. More of that and a couple of wins and the crowds will come back.
A few ot there that really must be at the last chance saloon. I said to the wife when Simmons came on “how long till he gives away a penalty?” And bugger me if he didn’t almost straight away and let the m kick 3 points! Bloody moron!

As you all know I have always and continue to be a Wallabies Fanboy. Yes they haven't been a great team recently. No thanks to their previous Head Coach.Who's arrogance was his own downfall.

Anyway - Sundays draw exceeded my expectations of what I thought the Wallabies were capable of and I spent the whole time expecting the Darkness to run away with the win in the final 20 minutes. Then the final 10 minutes. With game up on the clock - I had visions of the Darkness catching an intercept and running the length of the field and breaking my heart.

The best thing about watching this first match of the Bledisloe was the location and the company.
