I imagine every game on Field 1 will be streamed

Watching the streaming, can someone tell me why the commentators, whoever they are, keep calling it The Library.
    Why?
There are not exactly a collection of books in the rundown UWA clubrooms.
Are they trying to tell us that UWA are the only club smart enough to know what books are and are able to read them.
    I find that quite insulting
It's UWA Sports Park. Call it that

The club and its players and members have been calling it that since 1993.
Just like Soaks call their home ground “The boneyard”.

One of the commentators is a ex university RFC player. Hence the use of the term.

It's probably a hilarious joke so that when they are going training they can say they are going 'To the library', which makes them seem academic. Student humour!

Cracking game. I was impressed with the high standard of play from both sides. Great defence.

But even as a Soaks supporter, I thought Cott deserved the victory in the end, as their scrum and lineout dominated Soaks in the 2nd half

What a day of rugby it was at UWA. Finals should be held there every year

The stadium in Wellington is oft referred to as The Caketin. That's not its actual name.

But then those who know it as Westpac Stadium may be miffed that it is now Sky Stadium, whereas if we just called it The Caketin...

They (RugbyWA) do need to sort out which games are played on which pitches though. Some of those on Pitch 2 should've been pushed over to Pitch 3 and vice versa. Or go back to games on both days of the weekend; so more can be showcased on Pitch 1.

The problem with Sundays though is that many of the PI players would prefer not to play due to religious reasons. This would put some teams at a disadvantage I imagine.

Hmm would be good if the money raised on the day went back into RugbyWA coffers. With it played only at one club ground no other clubs would get the opportunity to raise funds to support their clubs.

Two clubs tendered for the final this year with the Hill and superior viewing being cited as the driving factor for UWA being awarded the final.

There were RugbyWA staff on the main gate so I assume the admission at least goes to RugbyWA coffers.

Who else bid for the GF this year?

Kala and UWA the only two.

I loved the fact you could stand in the corner of the 3 pitches and watch all 3 games at the same time, plus you could drink beer pretty much anywhere.

Only downside with the fields being so close was the balls kept flying onto the other grounds.
