    2021 Signing Spree

    It's starting . . .

The Western Force have landed a coup in the transfer market, signing Wallabies and Waratahs prop Tom Robertson.

The Herald can reveal Robertson, a Waratahs front-row staple since his 2016 debut, has played his last game for the club after signing a letter of intent with the Force.

Not a bad signing all things considered. Not a lot of good loosies going around. He's relatively young, competent. Complements our developing guys nicely.

Any news on whether Kyle is heading to the TAHS? I doubt it somehow.

I wouldn't be too quick to doubt it in writing Hansie, the walk up start to the Wallabies squad without displaying actual results during the regular season might be a drawcard.

While Kyle's experience and quality would be welcome, I don't see him as one of our "must haves" we have plenty of big straight running centres and therefore can develop somebody to fill his role with a longer term view. Kyle might also see the Tahs as an opportunity to get a bunch of minutes easily due to their tendency to pick on reputation rather than form.

He's a local lad in pretty good form considering he joined us late. He is at least Super Rugby level if not with the potential to go higher. We'd be crazy not to keep him.

Been no signing announced by NSW so far. So that's positive.

We sure do! Not sure if Deegan fits the bill, we pbly need a veerry good playmaker 10 who can nail the kicking. Deegan has been a wee bit underwhelming this latest comp, but then he IS stuck at the Rebs. If we were to recruit just 1 star player, a star 10 would be great.

Twiggy throw a million at Dan Carter.

Even at his age he'd likely be the best play maker in Australia except for Gunny.

Wow! Now there's lofty benchmark for you. Carter's a bit TOO long in the tooth, though. I'd go for a younger bloke; say Freddie Michalak.

I would be targeting the kiwi stocks of 10s, no matter how teams they have there will still not enough room for all of them.

Mitre 10 Cup starts on Friday and there will be plenty of talent on display.

Why not get some current superstars. What the hell. Let's get the Barrett Brothers. All three of them. Beauden, Jordie, and Scott. Less likely to get homesick if they are together. And they are world-beaters.

Actually, good plan, then we can play Aotearoa and they won't even have to leave home

I like the way you think
