ROUND 6 FMG PREMIER GRADE RESULTS

    Uni 24 - 7 Baysie
    Paly 73 - 0 Cavs
    Neddies 24 - 24 Wanneroo
    Lions 36 - 0 Curtin
    Soaks 34 - 12 Kala
    Wests 8 - 21 Cott
    Bruvvers 47 - 14 ARKs

ARKs really struggling for numbers at the mo - 3rds beaten by 24 pts 7 tries to 3, 2nds forfeited so a handful of 3rds could rest before backing up in Prems. Rusty's still Rusty though, so there is some passion within the ranks; just insufficient personnel to share it with, it seems.

Cott will have a party next Saturday against the Cavaliers.

This new format is turning out to be a real treat.

We all knew how things were going to play out, there are a few clubs in a world of pain and the parties just getting started

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

My concern is, after 3 or four clubs drop out of Premier grade mid season, will the clubs that have yet to play them be granted a win, a bonus point, AND a score of 80 to nil to make up for lack of opportunity, or has the draw been rigged to give the purple circle an advantage?

If you haven't got anything to add, Hansie, it's better to say nothing.

Fulvio, Fulvio Fulvio, When Brother's came up to Prems, the naysayers predicted the Roo Dogs demise and years of cricket scores against the Brother's by the likes Cott, Soaks, Pally etc. I seem to think that has not happened.

It seems to me history is repeating itself.

The line of history repeating itself with the likes of the Cavaliers is an easy statement Hansie, History has fallen on both sides of the equation.
Yes Brothers/Roodogs is a positive example, but would you really consider Rocko's history in Premier Rugby to be as positive?

There appears only the one thing repeating himself here ...

Brothers is a completely different scenario to Rocky & Cavaliers, so I have no idea why you make comparison.
Perhaps you were involved in the decision to admit Kwinana into senior grades - that was a great one !

Listening to "naysayers" & allowing Promotion/ Relegation years ago would have made a huge difference, but no it was left as thought best by those who believe the echo chambers. Let me think, promotion relegation - where is else in the world does that happen ?!

The 3 fingered fiddle players from the Far North ticked all the boxes and eased themselves in slowly through reserve grade and are now reaping the benefits and I take my hat off to to them, the other clubs that came up on a wink and a nod deal were not prepared for it pure and simple, that much is blatantly obvious to most , no one is questioning the love and passion that these club members have for the game but it hasn't worked out as they would have hoped, there wasn't any type of criteria to be met, to be brutally honest it's been a complete fuck up.

The real question is, will ARKS amalgamate with Southern Lions or Kalamunda, or, preferably, enter into a menage a troi with both?

Curtin should consider living defacto with Perth, and Cavaliers would do well in a marriage of convenience with Wanneroo.

The Completion would then revert full circle to 10 competitive teams, like we were before RugbyWA had its brain fart.

Who knows, we might even be able to run fourth fifth and sixth grade sides competitively, like we did in the olden days of long ago, like in 2006.

Sorry, brain farts; there was way more than one.

Some of those suggestions aren't geographically do-able imo. Curtin and Paly is the go, surely? Cavs and Wanneroo would never work. They'd have to find a midway point to meet. Tompkins Park seems logical.
