The following sins are allowed to be promoted:

    Gambling
    Alcoholism
    Working on the Sabbath
    Tattoo's

But a rainbow on a jersey is too far!

Just more lunatics that pick and choose which parts of a 2000 year old book based on an imaginary character they want to listen to and parts that they don't.

There's no law against hypocrisy. If the NRL used a little common sense they would simply allow those players to wear regular strip. Problem solved. The only people being hurt here are 9, Fox, and people who bought tickets or subscriptions. Stupid.

for once on this topic, I agree with you Jargs.

That being said, forcing somebody to go against their religious beliefs without any sort of consultation is fraught with danger. There is a discrimination law that will support the players stance. That law also supports the rights of LGBQTI+ people to not be discriminated against, I'm pretty confident that forcing players to wear a jumper that is against their religious beliefs is in breach of that law, just like it is a breach of that law to force a gay guy to wear a tee shirt that says homosexuality is wrong.

We don't have to agree with their beliefs, nor with which parts of their text they uphold and which parts they don't but we are required to respect their beliefs. (However I believe it ISN'T defamation to point out the hypocrisy)

Pretty impressive that in his first game he took on the big dog and not only held his own but rattled him. Be intesting to know what JWH carried on with after the siren.

Dunno who got MOM but it should have gone to Jake Turbo or Foran.

You never see RL as a main story on WA Today, unless it's just another case of Mungos behaving badly. Or a Pommy 2nd Division player suffering an exploding ball-bag.

Poor bugger. Good news is; it looks like his rig will still operate, which gave his "relieved" girlfriend a big . Maybe he should invest in an "athletic support" to help preserve his remaining assets, as he intends to soldier on.

Now there's something you don't see every day in the Mungos (the law is adjudicated more sensibly); Gutho penalised for a deliberate knock down. But if it was illegal it probably needed a YC as well.

Speaking of "Stadium Wars", the Emperor & his minions are reportedly gunning for another NRL double header at the craypot. I can't see this being a success. Origins and Bledisloes have a hell of a lot more pulling power for the event bucket-listers. I reckon a regular season duet would be lucky to pull 30K with not many inbound fans. HBF Park for stand-alone matches is still the best option.

P.S. A Mungo "what made me smile". SMH (pretty-bloody-obvious) reader comment on the other Cam Smith possibly taking the blood money.....

give him a break .. after 20 yrs at the Storm he can play golf where ever he wants.. at least he hasn't gone to the Dolphins

Whilst it might depend on the teams that come over, I can't really see a double header attracting anything more than the last double header which was about 30k wasn't it?

If they want a double header they might as well sell out HBF.

Duck-Duck quotes 38,000. We went to the first one, but I left thinking "never again". I've stuck with that - and flew east for the decider after the 1st Origin. But I've been to every one @ HBF.

I suppose it depends how high the bribe goes.
