Surprised if any of youse young whipper snappers know what a "goon" actually is - or was. Definitely not a box.

Go to a Moore Park function with a empty goon bag. Piss in to it and pour it in to a magnum wine jug.

The original "goon" would make the world's worst pillow.

The goon bag comes in a box hence the box reference.

I've seen comments saying the RA should move to more a affordable home. Don't know how that would rest after taxpayers funded the thing. Be a nice slap in the face if they did move and the Swans took over the lease.
    Tahs are out at Daceyville.

OK; this has gone far enough off topic. So - this is a flagon of wine. It was corrupted to "flagoon" then "goonie" and later to "goonie bag". Try using the original to get some kip.

I've always thought of Kirup Syrup as the definitive goon, although to call it wine might be a little generous. $2 for a 2L flagon when I was a young scrote, although it was usually a plastic bottle at that time. Could have had worse pillows than that, apart from the consequences of having emptied it (which were pretty dire).

When I was a very young wannabe surfer scrote, staying at a tent site on the Gold Coast. With just a dollar in his kick one of the lads invested it wisely (?). 20 cents chips and an 80c bottle of invalid port in the bargain barrel at the Kirra Pub. I AM old aren't I.
