    Wait, what?

How does nobody who isn't an Australian citizen returning home can enter the country confirm that GRR can go ahead?

None of the other teams have more than a couple of Australian citizens.

I do. But sometimes he appears in quotes and it's hard to resist a bit of shit stirring. I'm way past taking it seriously.

Yeah, so? Potentially GRR could go around finding teams of expat Australians who live in China, Malaysia, Fiji etc. Then run academies in those countries to teach them to play Rugby. Then pay for their travel, isolation and accommodation etc. Then pay to keep them in a "bubble" in, say Penriff or Novocastria because the party poopers in SA, NT & WA still have hard borders. Then pay all the costs of running GRR outside of WA. Everyone knows AF can afford this so why the hell not?? Potentially.

They wouldnt need to be Australian because they would just apply for an exemption like the sunwolves.

Again you are dancing around the question embarssing yourself with your minions of cheerleaders frothing at the mouth watching everything through their rose tinted glasses whilst claiming they are real fans when they actually sit at home using a very mild sickness (unless approaching 70+) as their sole reason to avoid supporting their team. These same people post on this supporters site like they are real supporters when its pretty clear they are looking for any excuse to stay home.

Now you have danced twice now around the question.

Why can the sunwolves apply for an exemption when they arent Australian, yet the GRR teams apparently can't?

Address the question specifically. Just because your mate slaps you on the ass and high fives every comment you make doesnt mean you are answering the question. What it shows me is that your are cornered like a caged rat and right now you have no where to go so other than answer me you are showing teeth, and they arent even that sharp.

Have the Sunwolves been granted an exemption yet? Is there anything other than vague comments from RA and their media outlets (not the most reliable sources of information) that some ~40 players and staff would all be granted an exemption?

Since the border restrictions were put in place, exemptions have been granted for one of a number of reasons: compassionate grounds, they hold critical skills, are diplomats, etc. Less than 2000 exemptions have been granted, and for example, just for compassionate grounds, ~200 applications who would appear to meet the criteria have been refused. Wanting to play sport is not one of the recognised exemption categories.

So the Sunwolves (and other GRR sides) could try to apply for exemption visas, but what do you think their chances of being granted are, if people who have compassionate grounds, have protection visa, have critical medical skills, or are diplomats have been refused?
