Sounds to me as if they are no more a going concern now than they were 2 months ago. KPMG may just be persuaded that the company can trade legally for the remainder of this year, but the real problem is the years after that.

That’s not an issue for the purposes of the 2019 accounts. But it’s a massive, not to say game-deciding issue for 2021 and beyond. The game simply cannot carry on as a professional sport these days without broadcast revenue. Sponsorship (even if they can secure any if there is no broadcasting going on) and match ticket revenue won’t be enough.

Weasel words from Clarke. Not that I’d expect anything else from king weasel himself.

And just FYI, Pandaram is and always has been Clarke’s puppet and mouthpiece.

According to a friend of mine who has impeccable contacts. RA pays for the RUPA Office space and pays some of Justin Harrison's salary.

Given that they are carrying forward a $6 million deficit, presumably not getting SR broadcast fees ATM, that they are still paying players and staff and have no broadcast deal in the cupboard; is a $14 million advance from WR adequate to say they are not trading insolvent again this year? There is a hell of a lot riding on Clarke's ability to sell the proposed 5 team Oz Rugby competition. Normally that would be a really hard ask, but given the current desperation for content at Fox, he might just pull a rabbit out of the hat. Maybe he should get Andrew Cox as CFO.
And the sneaky dig pointing the finger at Raelene for providing KPMG with a financial report that they refused to sign off on was a nasty and vindictive way of Clarke deflecting any mud that might be slung his way.

As we all know, RA’s troubles date back to a time when he was fully involved and fully implicated in wasting many $millions

And of course it was written by his mouthpiece, Mr Pandaram.
Look out for more spin coming your way soon.

Just noticed another Pandaram scoop in the story - not.

Western Force could be playing Australia’s Super Rugby sides in a new domestic tournament in less than two months.
And plans are also being made for a condensed Rugby Championship with the Wallabies playing New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina in Perth later this year.

This - WTF? Comments like this (GAGR) really do my head in.
"I mentioned this on social media, but they (Rodda etc) should jump at a Force contract for the rest of the year. There is no player cuts there, the Force would be desperate for quality players considering they will be playing the Super Rugby teams. It even means they remain Wallaby eligible if things get desperate.

Then they can go to Japan when the season re-starts "

You could reply with the fact that the Force have a "no dick-heads" rule (confirmed by Hodgo when we discussed it!)

Who says we are desperate for quality players?

    Rhodda is a second rower.
The Force have an All Black in one 2nd rower spot, with Lee-Warner, Bardoul, Pugh, and Grant to fight for the other spot.

I don't expect our boys to be up to SR standard - at least not with the Reds or Brumbies. But the Tahs & Rabble have been guilty of not having a real dig plenty of times. I think The Force can match them if they are taken lightly. In any event it will be good to see where they're at - if RA can get the Fox to shell out. Though it's not official the Sunwolves are releasing players. Ben T'eo is training with the Bronx and scuttlebut has him looking for a 2 year stint back in the NRL and Koirebete is supposedly checking his options.
