I remember the grand final of 1950.

That was the first of 3 winning grand finals that I played in for Palmyra.

Can't remember Gunny being there, unless he was the ball boy, but ....

I think in the wash up of all this Covid there should be pay back such as a situation I heard of many years ago.

Names have been changed to protect the guilty party.

X and Y meet at a club one night and ended up in a horizontal folk dance.

The next day X rings Y and says " thanks for last night, but I have some bad news for you, it appears i have crabs and I may have passed them onto you" - Y was understandably upset, but X reassured Y " its ok, just go to the chemist and get this stuff and apply and in 8 days all will be gone"

8 days later Y rings X and says " have you got rid of those crabs yet?" -

X says "yes - that stuff works great - all gone"

"Cool" says Y - "hey, can I come over to your place and hook up again"

A surprised X says "yes, why not"

So they hook up again, Y comes home and for the first time applies the treatment and thinks " that was a long 8 days but so worth it!"

So the moral of the story is hold some people back with covid then send them to China.

And send them to the USA.

That's more likely where the infection came to Australia from.

The readily available data would indicate otherwise.

Regardless of those stats, and not wanting to tempt fate too much, it looks like WA is one of the better places to be during this nightmare.

Let's see ... no cases in WA in the last ten years of people being killed by their local bus driver or being infected with a dangerous and potentially fatal disease by him, as opposed to four or five deaths and 450 plus potentially fatal infections in the last 30 odd days from mixing closely with the rest of the population.

Is it even a gamble when you are so tough you are willing to stand in front of the bus and dare the driver to run you down?
