    Correct.

Very credible, I'd hope. Take the Argies too.

    London - Jo'burg 11 hrs
Buenos Aries - London 14 hrs
    B.A.- Sydney 23 hrs
    Perth-Tokyo 9 hrs
    Sydney-Tokyo 9.5 hrs
    Auckland-Tokyo 11 hrs

Seems bloody obvious really. Whether the NZRU/ARU like to admit or not Asia/Pacific is the way forward.

Probably shouldn't have pissed off Japan then. I guess they just need the Pacific Islands to become economic powerhouses...

From the Green and Gold Facebook site- not a great statistic!!

748 more fans watched Carlton play Richmond in the AFLW last night than both the Brumbie's and the Waratah's home games combined.

So, if this gets up, what is the outlook for the NRC - no matter who buys the TV rights? Likely a rhetorical question. But if there is even a tiny grain of truth in their stated support for the game in WA, then a Force team would be a starter in any comp that supercedes the NRC. Could they countenance the possibility of the boys showing them up?

As I would read it, the NRC is gone and what replaces it is the SS, playing as now at the same time as SR and GRR. Whether the Force would be putting out a full second team, or would even be asked to given it is not a 'club', is indeed a question.

Better question might be whether RA would support someone else putting in place a replacement to the NRC without NSW and Q'ld, or block it...

I don't read it that way. I think they mean a combined play off series AFTER the Shite Shield and Hospital Cup are finished. Unless they mean to run it concurrent to the Sydney and Brisbane premierships. GRR will be done by June.

Yeah, I'd certainly want to see the Force, Rising and Vikings (or at a minimum the winner of the ACT comp each year) still involved.

It makes you think doesn't it? Whilst I can see the logic of broadcasting the Sydney and Brisbane premier comps, doing so at the expense of the NRC is kinda like keeping a team that has lost over $30 million dollars. Shrinking to greatness is working wonders apparently. Maybe a new hashtag is needed.

Optus will not take on Rugby Australia according to sources despite the inclusion of the 2025 British and Irish Lions tour in RA’s next broadcast deal.

Sources at the carrier have told ChannelNews that Rugby is seen as being in decline and “does not make sense” and that what is happening right now is “posturing” by management.

“Rugby Union in Australia is on a death roll attendance is down, few people are watching games yet Rugby Australia wants broadcasters to splash the cash for a code that is seriously struggling” said one insider.

Foxtel and News Corp who currently broadcast Rugby have moved to rein in costs associated with buying and delivering sports rights in Australia in an effort to get a better return on investment.

That is absolute bullshit according to the 9/Fairfax conglomerate. And Raelene Castle is the messiah who has saved the "grassroots".

The view from the Murdoch Empire? Raelene just is a naughty girl.

The view from Optus? Tell 'em all their dreamin.

News is what you have enough outlets to make it.
