    Interesting. Surely it must come down to the players in those positions rather than the position itself? I can’t otherwise understand why the tighthead would be so much more valuable than the loosehead, for example.

    A good Tight head is the key for the whole scrum.

    This seems to be the way of corporate policy these days . You pay as little as you can for individual positions/job descriptions. (Ask Boeing how this went for them . ) A few may benefit but most wont . You’ll have young talent ignoring certain positions just because it doesn’t pay . This is extremely dangerous for both the game and the fans . It’s a team game with contributions from all players making a successful team ..... ( Force )
