I think it was QLD who scuppered the talk about a vote of no confidence before this year’s AGM. I’m afraid they - like NSW and VIC - are only in it for themselves.

I think that was mainly due to receiving their annual funding 12 months in advance. Without it they will be close to insolvency.

Agreed Hansie that Sanzaar is a big problem. Poor commercial structure, faceless and the office costs the RA $1 million a year.

They could have that and the RA head office based at Ballymore without costing money on rent. That’s what the 6 Nations, Pro 14 and Lions Committee do. All are run out of the same building as the IRB. The Heineken Cup was run out of there prior to the French and English clubs kicking up a stink and moved it to Switzerland.
