A conspiracy theorist might think it is a result of Owens managing to get the selected AB's loosies to play within the laws last weekend. Not that it will favour either team on the weekend. They are both capable of boring their way to winning Bill.
    Owens is injured.

Thanks. How did I read the only article that doesn't mention that?

Some of those articles are claiming Owens was only going to run the line anyway. In any event, Il don't understand the selection given Garces' past performances. Barnes has done well in the tournament and has a good rapport with the players. A better choice to help enable a worthy spectacle.

We must have read the same article as the article I read did not mention the injury to Owens.

Apparently Barnes would have got the gig but he's English so was ruled out when England made the final.

    Yep

Barnes not eligible for the final. He was a bit officious in his final match - reckon he could have used his voice more to reduce the penalty count. Still; he's done now.

Thanks Barnesy - I have admired most of what you've done on the televised stage. Good job buddy; job well done

Great result for me. They certainly lifted their game compared to last week and mixed their game plan. We (FURA) should learn from this, but won’t, we need to bring our players from where ever they are playing not just Super Rugby! Maybe super rugby isn’t very good in Australia!

So Phil Kearns is suggesting the 2027 should go to America! He’s obviously not been reading the FURA handbook!

Aussie sport in general has taken a dive since that millennial period. But you know, hopefully we'll get a Fed Cup, that'll be quite an achievement really

I believe we're a sure thing in the Sudoku Masters next year and the World Tiddlywinks Championships as well.

Well done to the Boks. The SA scrum and defense was just too much for England. What a great way to end a really fabulous world cup. Well done to the Japanese for being fantastic hosts.
