    Or maybe not?.......

James O'Connor will be required to adhere to extra behavioural protocols as a condition of his return to Australia and the Queensland Reds.

If they were really that concerned about “the message it could send” they wouldn’t have brought him back at all.

I assume the extra behavioural protocols will be a detailed list of topics he can't discuss on social media.

How did his confidential employee contract details end up in the news?

JOC made himself the devil when he left the force so acrimoniously. I have had nothing but good things to say about some ex-forcemen.

K-bomb, when he left for England for instance, I was devastated, but only had praise for a loyal servant.

Michael Ruru is a more recent example, so disappointed that he's sitting behind a soulless hype merchant at the Rebs.

Dont confuse the fact that I think he's a dick and he used to play for the force as causation
Ruru is now moving to France and Genia to Japan. The biggest victim there is Nic Stirzaker who lost his captaincy and place due to the axing fiasco. These types of players are the biggest victims out of this mess led by the RA. Mees Erasmus and James Verity Amm have hardly been on a pro match day squad since leaving the Force. Chance Peni the last of the Force players that moved to the Brumbies and remained didn’t have his contract extended.

The list of talent is long ...affected by this diabolical administration . This is the real tragedy of the flawed policies of RA . Think of all the players that had exciting and bright futures ahead that were left high and dry without any plan or support ..... It still pisses me off so much .

Could not agree with you more. The mismanagement by the ARU and now RA is bordering on recklessness in my view. The way they have behaved over the past decade or so is, to my mind, unconscionable. And yet, there is absolutely no accountability.

Accountability will be when the Wallabies drown early in the pool stages and can't get out of the deep end, unfortunately the free ride was coming to end for most of them anyway, but this should be the final nail and then we can party like it's 1999

Mees is well suited to Rapid Rugby.

The only challenge in the group stage will be Wales, a bigger bunny then Micheal Atherton was to Glenn McGrath.

Win that and I can see Australia probably making it to the semi's.

Ryan Louwrens gave up his eligibility to move to Japan as the RA dithered over Rapid Rugby approval.

Wales got that key win in the AIs to get the monkey off their back. They have have a better high kick and chase game than Ireland which is hard to do so they will love having no Folau and fumblers like Beale and O’Connor at the back.

Fiji have the offloading and running game to tear Grey’s flimsy defensive patterns apart.

I fear they’ll do another Houdini like they did in 2015 and, once again, the gaping crevasses will be papered over.
