Don’t know it is pretty much a similar squad to 2015. England are in that half of the draw and will send the Wallabies home.

It will be interesting to see how much Cheika’s 33 player squad junket in SA is going to cost the RA. Particularly when they are going to lose millions this year which they knew before the Folau costs were added. A lot of their future expenditure is based upon the Nation’s League getting up which didn’t happen.

2 minnows in the group and despite being great at the 7 man version of the game Fiji are very average in the 15 man version.

Beat Wales and I reckon they're through to the Semi's. Lose to Wales and they'll likely face England and at this stage I'd agree that England will likely send them home but as much as I'd love to see them crash out at the Pool stage it's not going to happen.

I wonder about the mindset in the squad. The Rebels have classically shown the results of mindset and culture. The Poms and Springboks have demonstrated that if you don’t have everything right at a World Cup you will get beaten early .
As an aside I believe that the Wallabies should be making history with Ritchie and Rory Arnold locking together...... RA put paid to that . Ryan Louwrens was the best half back in the country before his injury. He should be there too .....RA put paid to that ....

I would not write Fiji off so quickly.
They have had more 15's rugby in the last 2 years with the Drua.
They beat France in France in the November test last year.
They now have an excellent coach in NZer John McKee.
They have had there squad together for the last 2 months in training and have 2 good lead up games to the World cup against the Maori All Blacks.

One thing i'd like to add, and pointed out at the time, where was the player's association at the time! Did absolutely nothing to protect or protest for the boys. And people complain about the unions, that's one union that is absolutely useless.

Xenos failing to strike and joining the Rebels was the final straw.

Fiji will lose to Australia and Wales.

So JO'C has agreed , with acceptance from RUPA, to have punitive clauses in his contract at the insistance of the QRU (It's claimed). Just more proof of RA incompetence, and lame excuses for not doing the same in the Folau fiasco. Nor any mention of that by Tom Decent. They just look more and more useless as the slow burn ticks on.

They're paying him "unders" for a 29 year old inside back who's been playing professionally for 12 years and relies on his footwork.

I'm not sure the low salary is a) all that low and b) in any way related to his behaviour.

Sounds like the QRU was very reluctant to have him back. And who can blame them. Would love to know how much RA is contributing to the salary.

Scott Johnson is claiming that it was O'Connor himself who wanted those clauses and not the QRU or Rat's Arse. If that's true I hope he has finally adjusted his compass, and kills 'em.
