    Capture Cards

I want to record the Western Force matches from KAYOsports.

Does anyone know what I need to do this?

    Hardware? Software? Both?

Stream on a pc? Free screen grab software camstudio might work, but can be hungry for resources.

Would Flash Video Downloader work if you watched it through a browser?

If you can get the stream url, you might also be able to use JDownloader to download it.

Unlikely fvd would work as it just unwraps the HTML that hides the url for the video, most streams don't have an actual complete downloadable file, they're either dynamically created or sit into pieces.

I assume there are stream grabbers out there though. Never needed one so can't give a name

If you have an across the tasman account, log in, and read what the cappers on there use, they all seem to broadcast how they capture their stuff pretty loudly on there

    just software.
i have used some free stuff over the years, but settled on paying for software.
WM recorder or WM capture works very well.
not too expensive (less than $30 i think)
i can adjust the screen area i wish to record easily and use the pc while it records in the browser.
apparently, according to their blurb, the WM recorder lets you schedule recordings.
i think i might be upgrading from WM capture.

For an extra $15 bucks a month I still prefer the convenience of my IQ 3 with Fox and FTA easily available on one platform. GRR matches are live and recordable via Viceland on that too.
