Could also imagine that they had to dangle a pretty big carrot to walk into that shit storm
Puller probably got the 250k back on his tax return.

The financials are brief and barely legible given the Isuu page browser.

It seems that reality of things is slowly sinking in to duped brains of SR franchises. Being sold another lemon down the road to nowhere, and its only dawning on them now. The panic is starting to set in now judging by comments. RA are pulling another swifty and they’ve left it too late to revolt! Whats that about polishing a turd? If this World League thingy goes ahead, they’re stuck with it for 12 long years with no say.

The World League doesn't bind SR to a 12 year deal as far as I know.

Arent they all praying for the World League as their cash cow for the next 12 years? Without it looks like their wont be much bargaining power from the current product to justify an increase due to pretty poor delivery of one of their main competitions(super rugby ofcourse)

For the international game. The £5b offer from the Infront Group (which is actually the Wanda Investment Group from China who have a strategic partnership with AliSports) is for Test match Rugby. The SR deal will still likely be over the standard 5 years periods.

Did uncle Cam state that the RA spent 1 million extra on Community Rugby last year? So far I only see an increase of just over 200k.

Sad but expected. There was just no way Clyne would ever positively contribute to grassroots and junior rugby, he and his board are too busy sucking the finances out of the sport..

The Rabble received $7,550,000 million from the RA which includes special funding from the Imperium sale and money paid from the Vic Government that is paid to the RA. We still don't know who contributes what in terms of extra funding. This is down from the 10 million plus they received last year.

The balance from the Vic Government owing to the Rabble is to be paid in 2019.

Brumbies again received the lowest $5,655,000 up from $5,475,000. QRU $5,902,000 up from 5,650,000. Waratahs $5,855,000 up from 5,650,000. Less than the QRU no wonder Roger Davis isn't happy.

Revenue deferred from the IRB is just over $4,000,000 up from 214k in grant funding. Is this the RWC money to cover the revenue shortfall?

    Community Rugby fund per state

    Qld $1,126,000 up from 846k
    NSW $1,490,000 up from $1,084,000
    ACT & SNSW $280,000 up from $180,000
Rugby WA $205,000 up from $180,000
    VRU $362,000 up from $253,000
    NT $120,000 up from $95,000
    SA $227,000 up from $193,000
    Tas $90,000 up from $52,000

Total allocation $3,940,000 to member unions up from $2,936,000 in 2017. It says subject to agreement and MoUs so where is the money coming from as it doesn't match the Community Rugby spend quoted earlier in the report. In that part of the report the RA spent $3,970,000 in 2018 and $3,722,000 in 2017.

The fact that WA received less than SA in Community Rugby funding shows that they have been shafted by the RA again. Alison I hope there is a response prepared for this.

Australian Rugby Foundation has a deficit of $148,000 with reserves of $364,000 to cover injured players geez that 50 million would have come in handy.

Wow! I am still in total disbelief that we received less funding than SA, I find that totally mind blowing. For an ex super rugby state to be ignored the way we are defies all logic. Its all just been a continuous slap in the face since they announced that WA would not be abondoned [and then abondoned us] and then Raelenes ridiculous bullshit listening tour which waa just a junket splurge to wine and dine and travel business to do some sight seeing. They have not done anything for WA, they think we are gullible and have bought this charade hook line and sinker but we didnt and we still sit here today waiting for their promise for WA to be fulfilled. Eventually Clyne will be gone and all he will have is his legacy and its one of constant ineptude, disfunctionality, he has watched over the Wallabies worst ever era and supported a coach that seems to dictate his wishes and conditions to his senior management staff and board, he has no control over the sport and has watched this trainwreck slowly but surely unfold in some of the most dire circumstances. Rugby has degenerated into a nothing sport now watched by more kiwis in Australia than actual Australian supporters.

There is a saying if you are relying on away support to fill your stands than you are in trouble. In 2016 and 2018 the English and Irish support filled the stands. There was a reasonable Scottish contingent in the Sydney crowd in 2017. The other test crowds bar NZ who naturally fill up seats with the access it has showed where the game is at. Common theme is lack of promotion so people don’t know when it is on so they can plan and save particularly if they have to travel.

As for Community Rugby funding no wonder there is 50k on offer at the next Force game.
