Robbie Deans says Global Rapid Rugby is ahead of the pack and driving the game’s inevitable expansion into Asia.
The former Wallabies coach is in charge of the invitation World XV that tackle Western Force in the first of the GRR 10-game showcase series at HBF Park on Friday night. They then play sides from Fiji, Samoa, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Deans, who coached Panasonic Wild Knights against the Force in World Series Rugby last year, had hoped a Japanese side would compete this season.

All I know is that the timing of the news for canning the Sunwolves couldn't have worked better for putting some limelight on GRR! This is better than billboards! Free publicity all care of SANZAR & RA schmozzle - fantastic!

I think you are right. And he said this in another story
“There’s a lot going on, there’s a lot of ground moving behind the scenes, a lot of politics. Those things will unfold,” Deans told The West Australian.
