I believe hands free driving is the future of driving; uber or no.

I long for the day I can just get in the rear seat of my car and get on with some paperwork while the car just gets on with driving me to work. I hope my longing is short.

Purchasing a mount is a whole other consideration; does one purchase each time one mounts, or does one "bite the bullet" and commit to the one person, at least until the thrill subsides?

How many drivers hours do you do and not report incidents?

Hands free mounting is by far the most efficient way.

I've heard it said that anyone who thinks self-driving cars are a good thing hasn't owned a printer

Why are you printing while driving? Pretty sure the law says you can only use a handsfree printer.

The reference was to the printers ability to unjam itself.

i don't text while driving either, that's very dangerous.

i write my messages on paper then run it through the scanner on the passenger seat.
the scanner is connected to a small laptop with texting software.
the laptop is connected to the net via my mobiles hotspot, and bingo, no crime committed.
there's no law against driving & writing, driving & scanning or driving and surfing.
