The boys said curtin never gave up till the 80th minute which shows great character and they felt very welcome in the clubhouses but I hope common sense prevails and they build there squad from 2nds.Whatever happens good luck for the rest of the year and hopefully the hard work and commitment off the field doesn't take too long to transfer on the field.

    I'll put in my 2c

    - Curtin has some of the best morale we have had in a long time.
    - We have more players than 3 teams at the moment, there are guys not getting a run each week.
    - It has been a fantastic year

I captain our 3rd grade side, and man am i proud of the effort that those guys are putting in. At least half of the team are in their first or second season of rugby. And these guys are not taking a backward step. The heart on these guys is inspirational.

I think we were a bit under cooked for the Prems grade, and mostly around our pre-season preparations, and the personal strength and conditioning required to be competitive. I think that the boys get that next season, pre season starts a few weeks after the season ends, and they need to get into the gym. There are injuries, but no more than the norm. I have to agree with BillyGOAT, that at the moment, it isn't the score, it is how you got to the end of game that counts. There is nothing but positivity in the club,

as for the calls to step down to 2nds, it is a bunch of people, not associated with the club, calling for them to be cut "for the greater good". I hope you all realise the hypocrisy of baying for blood from the ARU and in your next breath saying we need to cut down on teams in WA to be "more competitive".

I am happy to chat with anyone after any game, though i'm usually bushed... I'm the tall skinny one, who probably shouldn't be playing rugby

Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.

Was at Southern Lions this weekend & heard that WA are no longer developing youngsters through the competition. A Colts game between Pally & Lions was forfeited as some bunch of old farts playing 3rd grade were deemed more important that allowing what is traditionally called the future of the game i.e. Colts/ U20s.

Then again with no promotion or relegation & this split the league concept, Rugby in WA is truly unique.

Is rugby in WA truly in a position to hold all competition rules to the letter against what is blatantly a lack of common sense?

How is the sport going to develop when the youngsters, that clearly most are above the skill level of 3rd grade rugby have to then play it - what are they going to learn? Pally played their young scrum half who represented his country in the recent U20 Championship - surely his pathway & example means we have to nurture, develop & champion the cause for youngsters so they stay in the game, play better rugby & get a chance to represent their country doing so.

I never said he did ... just that a national rep played that the Pally Colts can take inspiration from ... but they weren't allowed to.
And from everything else you pick up on a semantic incorrect implication ... you Trump.
