Geraldton Tiger Sharks - Community League

I guess I am a little late to the party

I just want to show some love and support for my former home town.

As far as I am aware.

So far this season they have played 7 Won 6 Lost 1 (Associates).

Only 4 of 9 teams are willing to travel to Geraldton. As I understand it, Bunbury are not expected to travel all the way to Geraldton.

Super proud of the team that is willing to travel to Perth and back every other weekend. 900+km on a CoasterBus is hard work in anyones language.

Almost as tough as 900-odd K's down a corrugated dirt road in the Pilbara - after a night shift. Though only 2 - 3 times a season, thankfully.

    Some legendary return legs though.

They have done amazingly well both on and off the field. A great example of the ethos of rugby and how important sport is in the community.

Huge shout out to Tom Gorman who has moved mountains for rugby in the whole mid-west region, and to the guys at RWA who have worked very hard to get Gero involved in the community grade competition.

Swan Suburbs traveled to Geraldton to face the Tiger Sharks in their Round 11 Clash at Spalding Park, Geraldton.

A tough game, with the Tiger Sharks coming away victorious 26-12.

    That's 8 - 7 - 1

I remember those as a kid. Somehow I usually managed to sleep through most of the shenanigans on those late night return legs but not all 😉. I do remember guiding the old man down the track to home at 2am.

Good job too. Those Gully Monsters are even more dangerous at night.
