Uyen is selling himself short playing at that level.

Probably still coining more than he would on a Force contract though.

As they've just got promotion to D2, they'll be trying to improve their squad to stay there/push for promotion. D2 isn't a bad level; clubs there next season include: Perpignon & Grenoble (relegated from Top 14), Biarritz (DHP's old club), Beziers, Carcassone. Just the sort of place where Clay can make a name for himself. Romans is an old club, with lots of history.

If nothing else, if he tops the try-scoring charts in D2 (which he might!) he'll be noticed by the Top 14 sides. And if he doesn't, he'll enjoy the south of France and pad his super

Some nice places to visit in the Pro D2.

Hopefully he will be back in 2-3 years time and be an even better player. Worked for DHP, Longbottom etc. I would like to see Godwin back sometime as well.

Bernie Foley is leaving the Tahs after RWC. Does that open a door for Andrew Deegan in his home State?

I have no objection to McGregor or Deegan going. I'd rather us focus on bringing back West Australians like Luke Burton or Zack Holmes. Reckon Holmes would be well suited to GRR. Or developing guys like Nick Jooste.

We need to recognise this competition is in its infancy and we won't be attracting the best players in the world. At this stage, I'm happy to develop Aussie talent, because that proves the falsehood in the argument to assassinate the force.

No point in Holmes coming back when he is playing for Toulouse and just won the Top 14.

He might want to be a Wallaby. Playing for the Force will qualify him.

Yeah and how’s that going for them so far? RA & Cheika are still of the attitude the Force are invisible. Lip service and nothing more.

You never know. He might want to move back closer to home. People's motivations aren't always money and glory.
