Checked all the usual suspects - corporate firewall, anti-virus clients, browser cookie settings (in Chrome, Edge and IE11), etc.

Finally admitted defeat and called Western Force memberships.
They took my details and seating preferences, but cannot process payment at this time because "the computer system is down".
