I still can't figure out why Rodda didn't fend (or at least attempt to).

I have just watched the AB Italy match . The Wallabies are so far behind in all facets of the game Cheika needs to look at all players not just 48 ..... an almost complete overhaul of the team will have a more realistic crack in 2019

The simplest thing to do is abort the ridiculous "super player only" elegibility rule, and select the best possible wallaby team. It was only designed to reduce player exodus, and has clearly failed. They don't have the money to prevent it (except for Hooper, Folau and Petaia).

Yeah, I know it sounds like desperate measures, but these are desperate times. As you say, that rule hasn't prevented the exodus, so it has no use in the current time/situation. I reckon get rid of it for now, until there's a complete overhaul and rugby builds itself back up into a big-time, money-making game (whenever that happens) and then we can consider bringing that rule back. And considering how badly all of our Super Rugby-based players are playing, I wonder what would actually happen if we had an exiles vs residents match?

Is Exile the coach? or maybe the poster boy, gotta at least be the mascot?

it'd probably be a good match, do the force count as Exiles?

Seeing as some of our players that could have been in the squad, weren't, then why the hell not?

Wasn't there a guy on this forum whose encyclopaedic knowledge allowed him to whip up XVs in an instant? Where is he now?

I have just read an article that says that Nick Phipps is in the Wallaby Touring Party Leadership Group.

The same Nick Phipps who was evicted from a bar earlier in the year for urinating on the bar whilst dressed as a cow and was punished very minimally by the Waratahs because as Hooper (who was present) said there was in it !

I've only just watched this for the first time. This is painful to watch for so many reasons.

It would be reasonable to suggest that the Wallabies for the past 4 years have "kicked the ball away too much" and "need to hold the ball more and play more footy".

Cheika's comments on the centralised model regarding working with the Aussie Super Rugby coaches is interesting.
Apart from the 2016 Puma Test and the 2017 Boks Test, Cheika didn't come to Perth during the 12 months before the axing of the Western Force when the team was owned by Rugby Australia.
