I no longer feel that relief to get to the end of a super rugby game, it might have something to do with not starting to watch.

This afternoon, I went to watch my grandson play under14 school rugby for Hale against ""Oldham"" from Singapore. I had a brief chat to one of the Oldham coaches and also to my grandson, and did a bit of a google on Oldham. I thought the coach said the side was was an ""outreach"" program by the Oldham old boys club, but my grandson was under the impression it was their school side.
Anyway, the Oldham forwards held their own against the Hale forwards, but the smaller Oldham backs eventually could not hold out the bigger Hale backs as the game wore on. The cold wet weather was a problem for the Oldham boys as well I think. Still a solid and very impressive effort by Oldham, considering that Hale U14 are unbeaten against the the other Perth private schools so far this year.
My grandson said after the game, he chatted to one of the boys, who told him they play rugby all year round and train for 3 hours a day.

The whole side and all the coaches were Asians, so rugby is alive and looks like it is growing in Singapore. The coach was enthusiastic about GRR and had been to the games in Singapore.

Twiggy and GRR are on the right rugby track for the future in Asia.

I think Oldham are playing the Southern Lions U14 club side in Perth on Thursday.

Can anybody tell us more about this Oldham side?

Occasionally I'll watch a Kiwi Super Rugby game if there is nothing else on.

Aussie games can go suck a fat one.

I'm tempted to get a look at Kayo in a few months to check out it and Mitre 10 Cup

Old fart question. I have Fox because I watch a lot of different sports. Often I record on IQ and watch when convenient - use the series linking feature heaps. Is Kayo recordable without needing to be an IT speciallist.

Pls excuse being in the wrong thread. Away from home atm.

Its streaming on demand. (no recording), like netflix if you have it/ used it.

Just select what you want to watch and it downloads there and then.

You can also pick teams/sports/comps to follow (they havent recognised the Force nor the showcase series/GRR to select)

Looks like Ill stay with Fox unless they make it unaffordable in that case.

Fox are in debt and most likely offloading some of these sports or increasing prices. You will have to make a call sooner rather than later I reckon.

Thats exactly how I use Foxtel and I find it very convenient. Hopefully they won't raise their prices...

Yep. Reducing content and raising prices is pretty stupid way to encourage new customers and an even poorer way to keep long standing ones. If its their only option they are on the slippery slope.

Kayo is not recordable - but you can watch a sporting event - or panel show whenever you want. Including re-watching it or watching it live

Thanks X. Roughly how long do they keep matches and panel shows available to stream.

Just did a quick Mungo search on Kayo for you.

All Bulldogs matches from this year and last year for NRL and Canterbury cup are available to watch

I have seen old Force matches from 2006 and 2007 highlighted

for what its worth I am very happy with the service

Thanks again. I might do like BnB - give it a trial run.

I believe it's free for the 1st month, sign up and pay with your credit card and once activated you can cancel your subscription and further payments but it keeps going for the full month.
