I hope the Force coach is preparing for an ambush; just in case
Also hopethe Force take into consideration the punching match the Rebs brought along at the WSR game. Ian might want to wear headgear this time, to avoid another broken nose.

I couldnt believe the thuggish behaviour considering Wessels and good chunk of that team were from the Force originally. It was really disrespectful considering they were so graciously invited back to NIB.

I really hope it's a hiding like the Rays game, that squad/team and everyone associated with the VRU deserve nothing less.

    1. Whichever team holds the Horan-Little Shield is required to put it up for challenge at every home fixture.
    2. For away fixtures, holders of the Horan-Little Shield may choose to accept challenges but are not obliged to do so.
    3. In the event the holder wins two consecutive home games, or challenges, the Shield is then automatically up for challenge for each subsequent game the holder plays whether home or away.
    4. The team holding the Shield at the end of the regular season (or finals game if they choose to play for the Shield then) will be the only team whose name is engraved on the Shield.

    I agree it's pretty dumb.

Could have adopted the Ranfurly rules, from a successful challenge trophy.

But no ... they had to f--- around with it.

What do you mean? This bloke is (a) one of the finest up-and-comers and (b) not from Melbourne or Perth.

Sorry, I should have separated that into two posts. The details of the appointment of officials for the game is for info only!

The ambush comment was in reply to the opposition doing just that.

Good article on preparation for the game against Melbourne Rising in Geelong.

    https://www.westernforce.com.au/hard-work-paying-off/

Excellent interview from Van Humphries as we haven't heard much from the big bloke since he arrived in Perth in April this year.

    Team has been named
Western Force v Melbourne Rising Team Announcement
    October 5, 2018
The Force have locked in their team to take on the Melbourne Rising with minimal changes to their line-up.

Clay Uyen comes back on to the wing after missing much of this NRC season recovering from a hamstring injury. Fijian heavyweight Masivesi Dakuwaqa will move to start on the bench.

After playing a strong game starting against the Sydney Rays last week, Brad Lacey has been called up to the starting 15 as outside centre.

The forwards have remained unchanged after a blowout performance saw them scoring several tries and leading the Force to victory.

Captain Ian Prior is looking forward to seeing how the young additions will impact the match.

“It’s good to have a couple of young bucks coming into the side with Clay coming on the wing and Brad moving to 13,” Prior said.

“They certainly bring a lot of energy and a high work rate around the park and with the platform that the forwards have been setting we will look to give them as much ball as possible.”

The Horan-Little Shield will also be going on tour after the Force won the last two of their home games with the Melbourne Rising being the first to get a chance to win it.

    In: Clay Uyen
    Out: George Pisi

Like this mix for the game against the Melb Rising.
Alcock must have been close (hamstring) but happy to see him get an extra week before the Drua.
Hope to see plenty of points from this group of Backs.

The match is in Geelong on Sunday and will be shown Live on Fox 503, which is a bit confusing because the Fox Guide is showing it at 11.30am - 1.30pm Perth Time and the NRC Fixtures has it as 3.00pm Perth Time which does not add up?
The team listing picture above lists the game at 1230pm AWST? Incredible that we dont have a confirmed kick off time yet.
