Western Force duo Marcel Brache and Brynard Stander will play their 50th games in tonight’s World Series Rugby clash with the Hong Kong Dragons at nib Stadium.
The pair made their debut in 2014 after arriving from South Africa — outside back Brache from the Stormers and flanker Stander from the Sharks — and are among a swag of players who turned down overseas offers to stay with the reborn club.

Very interesting, Ready looked the goods last year, but appears to have been replaced by an ineffective Wallaby in Paenga-Amosa (sp)
If we can keep on picking up good players who aren't getting a gig because they don't fit Cheika's vaunted gameplan, then we might just end up up with a team that can beat the Wallabies!

Yeah, but TPN's padding out his superannuation in Europe, and I'm not begrudging him that

Alex Newsome was in the crowd tonight and looked stoked to be back in Perth. Let’s hope he’s signed for next season too!!
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
Stander kicking the conversion. Nothing but awesome. He's been playin well and heavily involved but I got a feeling the team were trying to him a meat pie. McGregor, Uyen, Taefu and the Orr bros really put it on tonight. Of course helped with the efforts of the rest of the team. Even with the bench comin on I was impressed. HK played a good game. Temp was a little low but id take tonight over the weather from the Samoa game.
What does the NRC Force squad look like? Are there players who were only contracted for the WSR?

Generally speaking you aren’t learning much if your lips are moving!!!
Courier mail are reporting Ready is going to do a stint for Southland in the NPC but it's paywalled.. If it's true, that'll be great experience for him and show's he's motivated - and maybe a little nuts to swap Qld for NZ's deep south winter![]()
Yeah good old Southland, not the end of the world but you can see it from there![]()
