The cut Force players may have taken deals elsewhere in other teams in the league.

Gobal Rapid Rugby: Tevin Ferris among three Western Force re-signings
    Nick Taylor The West Australian

Western Force 2018 rising star award winner Tevin Ferris has re-signed to the club for next year’s Global Rapid Rugby competition.
The flanker has joined former Springbok fly-half Peter Grant and prop Chris Heiberg in inking new deals with more re-signings and at least four new names to be added in coming weeks.

If Hawaii can pick up a few American test players, especially of Polynesian extraction, that would be a good marketing tool. But one guy I would love to see turn out for Hawaii would be the Canadian sevens star Nathan Hirayama; that would be a big boon for the Hawaiian- Japanese community to get behind the team. He would make good captaincy material too.

Brett Robinson (I think it was) said something very interesting after the GRR announcement. He said Force players were eligible for the Wallabies because they were playing in the NRC. What if someone plays for the Force during GRR, but not the NRC (let's say they are playing in Japan when NRC is on)? Will they still be eligible?
I wouldn't put it passed RA to say no.

Id think if they were eligible by citizenship and were Force players who may not have been in the last NRC but will now be contracted for future NRC then they would have to be eligible. eg Matt Toomua not yet playin soup

Hirayama doesn't play 15s. As in he literally only plays 7s. Sort of like Carlin Isles for the US.

Issue is he apparently has no interest in playing the 15 man game. Lead the recent dispute with the Canadian Union. Would likely require giving him too much for his services.

He isn’t a good XVs player. Saw plenty of evidence of that at the last RWC.
