Hi Steve, well I'm actually Sydney/Brisbane/Perth and now Darwin (one guess which industry I work in!).

Rugby has a much better following here than I expected though, which was a pleasant surprise.

If the opportunity presents itself I certainly will BG.

I did google him to see if I had seen him around, and came across this article https://myaccount.news.com.au/sites/...type=anonymous

I don't have a subscription so cannot read the article. Any idea what the background is there?

    Cheers

Great seeing Matt Phillips & Andrew Deegan together, looks much more natural seeing our Force boys together - despite that dumb Rebels shirt. Great chance for the guys. Just hoping it’s not another instance of Cheika dangling carrots in front of the hopeful guys & then ignoring them for his faves. Just being cynical.

On G&G a few posters are talking about how teams will be sniffing around Deegan after this. Like he is uncontracted or something.

He was contracted as an EPS member of the Waratahs, but looks like he decided to take Forrest's blood money, and the opportunity to get noticed/more game time. Which has clearly worked, so good on him, I'm sure he'd jump at the first chance to play Super Rugby, and he has the Western Force to be thankful for that.

To round up. His talent was recognised by the Waratahs, it was the Force who scouted him from NRC/NSW Country Eagles and poached him from the Waratahs. Stop being such a whinging hypocrite and enjoy your rugby.
I think I deserve an apology from you Jack or are you a hypocrite as well as a troll? and why do you think Forrests money is blood money?

Well the Supers defo got hammered ,think it was 50 something to 12, there were Force players everywhere! ( will never see them as Rebels players) Deegan played really well, &now the clubs are all sniffing around as if they can sign him up. I didn’t notice Ferris, maybe someone else could comment there, but I can’t remember hesring him mentioned although the forwards pack worked pretty well, in fact dominated a few scrums. Hardwick played a blinder, Cottrell & Matt Phillips too. Toomua was good, Genia was ok despite the commentators talking him up like the 2nd Messiah. Some players kept getting switched back &forth between the teams, like Jake Gordon & Genia from memory. So overall thought they stood up quite well to the Wobblies.
It was all a bit underwhelming by the end, for me anyway, I think the crowd was getting a bit bored also, as it seemed to become a ‘How wonderful are the Wallabies!” kind of show. But very proud of “OUR BOYS!”

Deegan was 2nd best on ground for the S15 side behind Hardwick. Ferris got about 60 mins and was ver busy in and the tackle/ruck area, didn't get a lot of carries but was busy. Deegan kicked well, took on the line well and set up some good raids for the S15 side.

Is this what you meant BLR? Quotes from the Roar:

Deegan is the light at the end of the tunnel, a genuine young playmaker coming through.

I would prefer him to go the brumbies than reds as well since he could learn a lot off CLL.

Stewart is just a workman like journeyman.

Agree it would be better for Aus for Deegan to go to the Brums. Duncan P will provide enough playmaking for the Reds next year

There are rumours surrounding Samu Kerevi going to the Brumbies. There are two tens Will Goddard and Mack Hansen coming through the academy. Hawera has played fantastic Rugby over the past few months.
