I thought the boys did well considering how many of the Force's best players were in the wrong jersey.

It was mainly inexperience and overambition that was the Force's undoing, far too much spilt pill of ambitious long Passes. Rebels resorted to cross field kicking to break our line. It was the effective tactic of the night, because force were pushing in hard on defense Leaving plenty of time for the rebs outside backs to Pick up the ball.

It might have been a different story on a dry track, the few times the force plays stuck, there were meters available, but there just wasn't enough.

Good stuff Ruru getting yourself sent off. Meakes you're a bloody traitor.

Like Twiggy said after the game, you have a great team Melbourne, I'm glad we gave it to ya. #seeyawhenyou'rebankruptnextyear

Personally I thought that was a very poor display! The score line might not show it but defence wasn’t to bad. Attack was another matter! I thought once they came out for the second half they would start trying to break the line in two man pods as one on one hadn’t worked for 40 mins but no! Let’s keep on doing the same old and expect a different result! Some very shabby kicking and attempted long passes in some crappy weather shouldn’t have even been thought about let alone attempted.
If they want to play like that in two weeks time against the Crusaders someone better get a big tub of Vaseline!

I thought that they seemed a bit flat.I think they missed Iona and Marcel to give they a bit of get up and go. Having said that the weather was tailor made for the Rebels! One thing that I did take out of the game is that I will never see those guys as being our guys again, seeing them in Rebels jerseys really brought it home that they are playing for a different team and are not part of us any longer

First cheap shot delivered by dick hardwick, second by Matt Phillip, I don't think they see themselves as part of us either.

Match fitness, match fitness, match fitness.

No matter how much training you do, it doesn't compensate for not playing week in week out.

Two matches, weeks apart, do not prepare you for a game against a team which has played together each week for 12 weeks or so, including trial matches.

Match fitness includes honing ball skills under pressure.

That was the difference, not lack of talent available to the Force.

I was thinking not so much an imbalance of talent as an imbalance of experience and ability to absorb pressure.

Thought the force were overawed by the occasion even though they were the team with no pressure. The rebels played better to suit the conditions and the occasion, in short, they were better prepared. No surprise really, they currently have the best coach in Australis.

Enjoyed that game, some good rugby even though disappointed in the dropped balls, all of which were at fairly crucial moments. Over zealous & conditions, but it was a good learning curve for the newbies. Fitness did seem a bit underdone -too long between games. Not happy seeing our boys in another strip & am glad that hurdle is now over. Hope they can work on the holes in their game before the Crusaders. Family behind us are now AFL converts & said they loved the atmosphere, just a pity about the ol geezer behind us who kept up a nonstop monologue commentary on the game for the full 80.

That should hopefully be fixed next year when WSR becomes a proper competition.

Was a great night out, who cares about the rain. Great effort and resilience by the men in blue but I think inexperience in tough conditions was our downfall but hopefully it was a great learning curve for the many youngsters in the team. Just a shout out to Alcock and Stander who I think are both having really good seasons so far. Well done to all of the sea of blue, almost 14,000 fans in the wet, miserable conditions, late at night is a fantastic turn out.
