Emirates Western Force Voted Top Emerging Brand In WA

The Emirates Western Force has topped the WA Business News branding survey for emerging brands in 2006, with the combination of the distinctive blue and iconic black swan proving to be a winner with the public.

Respondents to the survey, which include marketing and advertising agencies across Perth, rated WA's professional rugby branding ahead of Synergy and Little Creatures, while Jesters and Nova were also in the top 10.

RugbyWA marketing services manager Sean Lee told WA Business News that the branding strategy had a significant part to play in the club's off field success.

The success of the teams' branding was never more evident than on game day, during which Subiaco Oval turned into a sea of blue as loyal fans turned out in droves kitted out in the blue jerseys and various other club apparel.

“The branding played a monumental role in providing our members and supporters with a banner under which they could unite,” Lee said.

I agree Burgs. I had every intention of buying one last year but when they came out I knew I'd probably never wear it. I went with the Wallabies jersey & hat instead.

Moses, that is not an image of Jeff's (the purple Wiggle) shirt, just look at the cartoon on it, one is PURPLE the other is SKY BLUE (like a Force jumper)

my Wiggles knowledge is clearly lacking, but I know the colour purple when I see it. The Waratahs jersey is sky blue, if it helps to put an end to this debate I'll hapilly get a photo of myself in my Waratahs jersey in front of the sky and compare it with you in your Force jersey in front of the sky!!

I haven't seen the sky in Perth, but guess I will when you put up the photo in your jersey

where did they come from LarryNJ? The 'Tahs jersey could probably be matched to the top left corner, the force to the bottom right of that sweeping panel. We definately don't match baby blue however, and with the amount of colours available these days I'm sure there's 50 gay sounding colours that could be roughly attributed to our blue.
